Silvervein

The creation of the realm that came to bear the name Silvervein was my first true attempt at worldbuilding. I originally crafted it as the setting of a homebrew D&D campaign, but my inexperience as a game master led to the players' interest fading quickly. Yet, the world and its characters never left me—they have lived on in my mind ever since. Now, as I assemble The Cathartic Archives, they have resurfaced—ready to be reborn in this new medium.

At the heart of Silvervein's tales stand three protagonists:

  • Corvin Gravaengr, the last heir of a proud noble lineage, presumed dead by
his enemies—yet returned to wreak vengeance upon them.
  • Aighlín Aylward, a young woman orphaned and on the run, volatile and alone in the wake of the wild, uncontrolled magic surging within her.
  • Caelynn Ilphelkiir, a young elven woman whose childhood was spent in isolation. Now, she ventures into the world, the pages of her destiny unwritten–filled with curiosity, she collides with the foreign cultures she encounters on her travels as an agent of an organization entrusted with the most delicate and dangerous of tasks.

Each of these characters was carefully shaped by dissecting and distilling elements from myriad sources–analyzing the themes and traits that made them compelling, and melding their essence into beings who found their own place in this world.

I look forward to adding rewritten lore, character profiles and more—alongside new stories set in this ever-expanding world.
